Once we create the modelling of the rooftop, we need to add the inverters to the design. Inverters integrate the DC component of the PV output to the AC component. Therefore, adding inverter makes the Solar rooftop utilizable.
One can model a rooftop PV layout as described in this article(need to be linked). To add inverter one needs to follow the steps given below,
Click on the components section of the design panel layout and select "Inverter".
Choose the Inverter according to the make and rating as available in the inventory.
Check that it meets the DC to AC Load ratio criteria and is always set above 1.
4. Once you select the inverter, the inverter moves along with your cursor and each time you click on the screen, the inverter is placed until you press complete on the top of the screen.
Once added one can access the Performance Generation and SLD only after adding the Inverter to the layout.
Performance Generation features are given below,
Annual generation;
It is the total power generation value of the system for a year, expressed in terms of MWh.
Spec Gen;
The total annual production divided by the system DC nameplate power.
Performance ratio;
It is the ratio of Annual Production and Nominal Plant Output, where nominal plant output is the product of incident energy on the plant and efficiency of modules
