To get started with adding micro inverter, first ensure that you have created design and added modules.

Step 1. Click on the inverter menu(or use shortcut 'i' from keyboard) on left tool menu.

Step 2. On the right pane, we can see different inverter types. Choose "Microinverter" from this section.

Step 3. Under the microinverter section, we can search for microinverter by model, manufacturer, and size. Let's choose the Enphase Microinverter IQ8 Plus.

Step 4. Now, to add micro inverter on modules select all the modules on which we want to place microinverters. We can do this by left-clicking on mouse and dragging it to select the modules.

Step 5. Click on complete once all the desires modules are selected. Automatically, all the microinverters have been placed on the design. Now, to start off with creating branches, we'll go to the combiner box dropdown option.

Step 6. We will check what the max AC branch length is. It will vary depending on the microinverter that you have chosen.

Step 7. Click on the "Add AC Branch" button. It's always preferable to perform the branching on the same facets. To create branches, after we are in add AC Branch mode. Hover the mouse pointer over modules.

This will show the no. of micro inverters getting added in branches. There is no minimum limit to the no. of micro inverters you can connect in one branch. However, as soon as you reach maximum AC Branch length, automatically new branch will start forming. Similarly, you can create multiple branches.

Step 8. Once all the branches have been created, we will click on complete. This will take us out of branch creation mode.

Step 9. If we zoom in, we can see that all the branches have been labeled here. They are also highlighted with different color coding, which helps us recognize the number of branches that have created.

Step 10. We can see the same thing on the right-side pane, where all the branches with color coding and the number of microinverters connected in each branch are shown.

Step 11. Once you are out of branch creation mode, the created branches will not be visible anymore. To see branches even after you are not in branch creation mode then, under Layers tool on left tool pane, check the check box for show stringing.
