We have four options to develop models in the TSL application.
· Polygon
· Cylinder
· Walkways
· Tree
POLYGON;
Polygon option can be selected form the tool and we can draw structures as needed for designing the rooftop. Steps involved and associated with polygon are,
· Create polygon (P)
· Add dimension using Tab key and provision for undo and delete in panel layout.
· Properties of a polygon to define its height, parapet height, Tilt, Azimuth, Parapet setback and thickness.
· Finally, mark the polygon ‘Peaceable’ in order to place panels.
CYLINDERS;
The obstacles available on the rooftop can also be modelled by the polygons as well as the cylinder(C). The cylinder needs the radius value that can be entered manually or dragged for appropriate modelling. Similar settings can be made for cylinders as per the design.
Obstacle modelling;
Polygons and cylinders can be used for modelling obstacles. Dimension tool and layers option can enable the modelling to have accurate dimension and placement. An example modelling of obstacles is given below,
WALKWAYS;
Walkways make the ease to handle the rooftop for commissioning and maintenance purpose.
One adds Walkways from a polygon or simply enter ‘W’ for creating one.
Select and drag walkway for creating it and add dimension and height while doing it.
Copy-paste option is also available for walkways.
Mirror modelling can be performed by mirroring the design in case of creating a shed roof. To know more about modelling shed structure click this,
Once modelling is done, you can view the design in 3D by 3D view.
TREE
After modelling the building one can also model the trees associated along the sides of the building. Enter the key 'T' to create a tree,
Select trees from polygon and enter the trunk height and crown height values.
Copy and paste according to the number required and save the project.
Click 3D from layers to view the 3D view.
