To understand the difference between current and future consumption profiles in Arka360. Let's first understand what do they mean? Understanding these profiles can help us plan and manage our customer's energy usage more effectively.
The current profile represents the existing energy usage patterns. This includes the customer's monthly consumption, yearly consumption, monthly and yearly electricity bill, daily usage patterns, weather based usage patterns, lists of consumption profiles. Also, the consumption usage pattern based on Weekday and Weekend. It’s essential to keep this profile up-to-date for accurate analysis. The current consumption values are used to correctly size the PV plant and it's used to calculate financials(saving, payback period, ROI, IRR and so on). We have already learnt how to add consumption in our help article 'How to calculate whole year consumption and bill values based on 1 or more months of electricity bill for Residential projects'.
The future profile allows us to project changes in the energy usage. This could be due to expected changes in the lifestyle, buying an E.V or new appliances, or planned energy efficiency measures. By creating a future profile, we can see how these changes will impact the energy consumption and costs.
