We are pleased to inform that we are releasing SLD and String Sizing feature. To use this feature, follow these steps:

  1. First, complete the roof and panel layout. Also, add the desired number of inverters.

  2. Switch to SLD view (keyboard shortcut: double press "4")

3. While visiting the SLD view for the first time, the system will try to perform "Auto Size" feature in which based on MPPT range the panels will be auto-assigned to strings.Note, "Auto Size" feature will not work in all cases and in some cases there might be some panels left to be strung based on MPPT Range configuration.Either go to 2D view and delete the required number of panels or manually edit the string sizing configuration to accommodate all the panels.

4. In the right pane, in the SLD view, you will see the followingas given in the image.

5. Click on the inverter type to edit its string configuration. For each inverter make, you can define multiple configurations.

6. When all the inverters and panels are configured properly, you can see the SLD.
You can zoom in using the mouse scroll wheel or using the shortcut "Ctrl + Alt + Plus(+)" and "Ctrl + Alt + Minus(-)". You can fit the SLD to screen using "Ctrl + Alt + Zero(0)".You can pan while dragging the right mouse button or holding "Ctrl" while dragging with the left mouse button.

7. To download the CAD file (.dxf) for the SLD, click on the download button and select "Export SLD as CAD". (Note this will show an error if all panels and inverters are not configured).

Other improvements

  • Generation on studio: Now information about the performance of the system can be seen right from the studio page itself. While designing, you can request the performance simulation. Please note that the generation figures don't refresh themselves automatically and the refresh can be requested by clicking on the button "Calculate Generation"This will show you annual production, specific generation and performance ratio. Click on the info button next to annual production to see the loss diagram. You can use this to see how your edits affect the overall generation. For example, compare between multiple tilt angles, see the generation improvement on increasing the mount height of a few panels.

  • Add Table Mode
You can use this mode to quickly add tables of various types. To use this, follow these steps:Select "Add Table Mode" from "Panel" option on the left pane. It will be just below the "Panel Delete Mode"You will enter the mode - define the properties of the table and add it in the respective position. You can keep on changing the property and add tables of the new property in a new subarrayTo get out of the mode, click "Cancel" from the top bar (or hit "Esc" key)

  • Custom Fill Face: If you wish to change the sub-array properties before applying fill face, simply press the setting button next to fill face. You can also use the shortcut "Alt + F" after selecting the roof on which panels have to be placed.

  • Design Improvement: You will also notice a lot of design changes across the product. We have tried to de-clutter the screen and provide you with the right information at the right time. You can also see the loss diagram in the design summary page.

  • Report Changes: There have been some more additions to the report. We have added an image showing per panel solar access value (replacing the map image), including a page to denote the environmental benefits of the plant. We are working on improving the report even further. Be a look out for the same.
