Detailed Tariff rate Details

  • The detailed rate details of a tariff can be viewed under "view" CTA next to the tariff rate

  • The Tariff details has summary of all the details pertaining to a tariff

    • Does the tariff has tiered rates?

    • Does the tariff has TOU rates?

    • Is it a post or pre solar tariff?

    • What are the different types of charges under the tariff

  • All the next sections will have details of the different charge types

  • If a tariff has TOU rates then the details of the TOU can be found under the charge type and the charges of the each charge type is under the dropdown.

Battery Configuration

  • Self Consumption Bill Savings goal of Battery for a design is only available if the post solar tariff rate has TOU rates in it.

  • The period indicate what kind of rates they are(peak has the highest rate followed by partial peak followed by off peak which has the lowest rate) adn are stacked in descending order.

  • The dutration indicates how long is the period for

  • With the next 3 columns you can define how should the battery behave during the duration (Charge from gird, Discharge to grid, Discharge to load) - {For battery only system) and the energy preference (is it battery or grid?)

Pro Tip! For 100% offset system the max savings are observed for most grid independent system for PV + ESS systems. So have only charge from Solar and Discharge to load for all the durations and energy preference as battery.

  • You can play aroung with different batttery configurations to observe which gives the max savings for low or high offset systems.
